Our Earth

A Poem by Victoria Lynn Hall

If we knew ourselves as wild
as more alive
than civilized
Would we be more sure
of our place in this world?

If we could see ourselves as free
not chained to productivity
but as a link in continuity
Could we care less
about commercial success?

If we valued ourselves
as minerals, elements and cells
not for our accomplishments or wealth
Would we know our true worth?

If we saw the wolf as a brother
If we saw the moon as a mother
If we saw the ocean as a lover
How could we destroy our Earth?

A self taught artist and creative entrepreneur, Victoria Lynn Hall lives in the Kansas City area with 4 spoiled cats. She believes in art and the magic of kindness.
