The Most Revolutionary Thing

A Poem by Victoria Lynn Hall

What if the most revolutionary thing you could do was
	get a good night's sleep
eat an apple from the tree in your backyard
leave the busy buzzing to the bees
sit down in the grass in the shade of that tree
	and enjoy the view

What if the most revolutionary thing you could do was
	stay home from work
keep your money in your pocket
create just for the sake of having fun
stop striving to prove yourself to anyone
	and discover your own value

What if the most revolutionary thing you could do was
	tell someone that you're hurt
instead of showing them that you're angry
or listen without defense or fear
to something you'd rather not hear
or tell someone you love them even when you don't like them
	but especially when you do

What if the most revolutionary thing you could do was

	nothing

	except be you

and why can't you believe that is true?

A self taught artist and creative entrepreneur, Victoria Lynn Hall lives in the Kansas City area with 4 spoiled cats. She believes in art and the magic of kindness.
