A Poem by Victoria Lynn Hall
(for the nonconformists)
I want to belong as myself or not at all To be allowed to get it wrong to make mistakes to take a fall To express a thought a desire or a feeling that is entirely, authentically my own And not be caught in the crossfire of fear and disbelieving or be cruelly, systematically left alone If I must conform to find comfort what comfort is found? Were we not born to be individual to be connected, not bound? If I can't speak my mind if my heart must be hidden If I'm only permitted to find my truth in what's already written Then alone I will be on this new day that's dawning Alone but still free to be me in my unbelonging

A self taught artist and creative entrepreneur, Victoria Lynn Hall lives in the Kansas City area with 4 spoiled cats. She believes in art and the magic of kindness.
