To Those Dealing With Trauma, Unseen

By Katie Elizabeth

To the ones who went through it privately, I see you.

To the ones who felt the deepest pain and did not react, I praise you.

To the ones who were threatened by texts and did not respond, I applaud your strength.

To the ones who wanted to reach out, react, but did not want their loved ones caused any pain, I see your selflessness.

To the ones who felt strangers’ eyes glaring at them because they believed someone else’s lies about you, I know they’re not true.

To the ones who lost control a few times and are beating yourself up, don’t, you’re human.

To the ones with tears rolling down their cheeks, behind a locked door, I am with you, and still see your courage.

To the ones who were told it was their fault, I damn well know it was not.

To the ones who pulled themselves up every single day through the pain, I know you are giving it everything.

To the ones who had to make hard decisions for a better life, I am proud of you.

To the ones who are in any stage of this, I’m rooting for you.

To the ones who are out of the trauma but still feel lost, keep going; you are almost there.

To the ones with tears rolling down their cheeks, this time tears of joy for all you have been through, with pride in yourself; I am overjoyed for you . . .

Look where you are. Take a deep breath. Know you are strong.

This is the moment you believe.

This is the moment you really start living.

  1. Hi Katie! I love this. I don’t know how your last year has been but I can see it hasn’t been what you wanted and you have had to fight for where you are. I can relate to this on so many levels. I really do applaud you for taking control and doing what you knew was best! It’s hard, sad, emotional and sometimes small victories are very rewarding and that gets us by. I’d love to catch up when you have time. Much love and Congrats!!….Lura❤️
